Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Loop app ("Loop", "we", "us") handles your information. We built Loop to be privacy-first: your networking data stays on your device and syncs privately to your own account.

Information you provide

Loop stores the information you choose to enter, including:

How your data is stored and synced

Loop is local-first: your data is stored on your device and works offline. When you sign in, your data syncs to your private account on our backend (hosted on Supabase) so it stays consistent across your devices. Access is protected so that only you can read or write your own records.

Contacts

Loop never reads your address book in bulk and does not request permission to do so. When you choose "Import from Contacts," Loop presents Apple's system contact picker, which runs outside the app — Loop only receives the single contact you tap. That contact's details (name, company, title, email, phone) are saved as a person in your account and synced privately across your devices, solely so you can log conversations and follow-ups with them. Exporting a person writes their details back to your device Contacts at your request and does not upload anything.

Authentication

You sign in with Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. We receive a user identifier and, depending on the provider and your choices, an email address, used solely to create and secure your account. Loop does not post anything to these services.

AI features and PII protection

When you ask Loop to summarize notes, extract action items, or draft a follow-up, the relevant text is processed by an AI model through our backend. Before any text leaves your device, personally identifiable information — names, company names, email addresses, and phone numbers — is replaced with neutral placeholders on your device. The AI provider receives only this redacted text and never the real identities of your contacts. The AI endpoint is configured for no data retention and is not used to train models. AI features are optional.

Device permissions

Loop works without granting these permissions; the related features are simply unavailable.

What we do not do

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and all associated people and interactions from our backend, and clears the data stored locally on your device.

Children

Loop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
